Each Rains Steel Guitar is custom, hand crafted to your exact specifications. All primary components of the guitar are fabricated and assembled in Gary Carpenter's shop in Fort Worth, Texas. The only items bought "off the shelf" are the legs, keys and pick-up.

The art of making of a Rains Steel Guitar is evident in each phase including the fabrication of the metal components with a CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine, the cutting of the hard rock maple to exact specifications, polishing the metal parts, assembling the guitar and then putting the final touches on the appearance. And finally, the most important step of all is when Gary personally plays and tunes each and every guitar before shipment.
